Basic gameplay[ | ]
To start playing, press Start on the Main Menu, and afterwards press the big 'plus' button in the upper-right corner to create a new World. Give your World a name, and then press Create.
You will now be placed into a new, randomly generated World, where you must first find a good spot for your Village. See the Controls section below to learn how to move around. Move around the World for a bit until you have found a good spot left-click on it to create your Village (NOTE: In the game's current state, you cannot move your Village after you have created it. You can still build wherever you want, but your Villagers will still be resurrected at the Village if they die). A small area will be formed, with a small heart in the middle. This the Village Heart, which is where Villagers will be resurrected if the should die.
Before your Villagers can do any work, they must first have some tools. The first tool you will need is a Flint Mattock, which is a multi-purpose tool that can cut wood and dig in dirt and stone. To craft a Flint Mattock, you will need 1 Branch and 1 Flint. To collect items and blocks, you must first enter Build Mode by pressing 'B'. While in Build Mode, you can tell your Villagers place down or destroy blocks.
